Digital Account Specialist, Agriculture, Brandan, MB
The Digital Account Specialist (DAS) will be an active member of the DFS Canada team. Working closely with the local commercial sales team the DAS will be responsible for delivering the digital farm success metrics as outlined by the Bayer Crop Science by being the key contact for farmer customers for digital farming needs.
This is a home-based permanent position with travel, covering the Western Manitoba territory, based out of Brandon, MB.
What you will do:
- Responsible for the digital interactions with farmer customers including signups, onboarding and engagement
- Implement the regional digital farming strategy with key growers
- Maintain and build customer relationships with key Bayer and Climate FieldView customers
- Provide digital farming support of local Bayer TSM and MD teams
- Use Climate FieldView as a selling tool to demonstrate the value of the Bayer Crop Science Seed & Trait + Crop Protection portfolio
- Have a complete understanding of Climate FieldView
- Have a high-level understanding of the entire Bayer Crop Science portfolio
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma (preferable in Agri-Business, Ag-Economics, Agronomy or Ag-Sciences) and 2+ years’ of agriculture industry experience OR 5/+ years’ experience with no degree.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience and proficiency in leading small group meetings both in person and remote via video conference.
- Strong understanding of iOS systems is preferred
- Familiarity with OEM and aftermarket equipment monitors, GPS, auto guidance is an asset
- Understanding of ag-retail business
- Certified Crop Science Consultant (CCSC) Designation to be taken
- Ability to get one of following: P.Ag ; R.T Ag Designation ; Order of Agronomists (QC) or CCA designation
- Possess a valid driver’s license
