The Position:
Do you love animals and/or the people who love them? Are you passionate about marketing and helping small businesses succeed? NVA Canada is looking for an Event Marketing Coordinator to join our Canadian Support Centre team based in Oakville, ON.
The Event Marketing Coordinator will support, develop, and execute various events, advising on best practices, webinar software and offering general marketing help. The successful candidate will be comfortable organizing Tradeshows, Webcasts and Events with autonomy to ensure successful event operations, manage budgets, and help to develop a long-term planning calendar. This individual will also be responsible for maximizing NVA Canada’s overall event brand presence, working closely with the Canadian Marketing Director, the broader marketing teams, and other Support Centre Teams such as Recruiting and Business Development.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Report to Marketing Director in planning and executing trade show conference, webcast, major meeting, and event calendar for Business Development and Operations teams
- Responsible for supporting in person and virtual trade show/events such as inventory and assets including booths, literature, swag, hotel reservations, contract submissions etc. Maintain supply levels and ensure upkeep/maintenance (booths, graphics/signage, booth promos etc.)
- Responsible for supporting trade show pre-/post-marketing campaigns, sponsorships, awards, speaking engagement etc.
- Develop event analytics/measurement and reporting to ensure ROI & defined decision-making
- Manage vendors and agency to coordinate logistics and deliverables for all projects
- Assist with Trade show/event budgets and oversee spend
- Maintain/Update trade show schedule and calendar
- Support Marketing team with other administrative projects upon request
- 4+ years of experience in marketing (or agency)
- Proficient with webcast/webinar/virtual trade show software and online registration
- Proficient with trade shows and/or event coordination
- Experience working closely with Business Development or Sales teams.
Qualifications:
- Experience with veterinary industry an asset
- A successful candidate for this position is someone with:
- Strong organizational & project management skills
- Ability to travel (up to 20%) and work occasional evening/weekend events
- Ability to work independently, a self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” approach to work
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- A servant leadership approach
