Job description: Sea View Farms is a grower of quality potatoes for Cavendish Farms, a leading producer of frozen food products for the retail and foodservice markets throughout the United States. We have three farming operations located in Tappen, ND, Linton, ND and Little Falls, MN.

We are currently sourcing for two (2) Farm Technicians (Full Time) for our Little Falls, Minnesota operation. Specific responsibilities for this role are:

• General equipment operation: planters, harvest equipment, tractors, potato truck and water truck, irrigation equipment etc.
• Planning, coordination and preparation for equipment scheduling, usage and maintenance
• Operate all equipment in the safest way possible and train others how to operate
• General predictive and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment as required
• Minimize equipment and machinery downtime through effective operation and maintenance

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated history of operational and mechanical ability through education and/or experience
• Background and passion for agriculture either through education and/or experience
• Strong sense of urgency
• Demonstrated knowledge of equipment electrical and hydraulics
• Ability to operate agricultural equipment which includes GPS systems
• Capable of performing physical labour on a modern farming operation (lift 55lbs frequently)
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Understand and willing to work extended hours due to seasonal nature of the business
