Job description: The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, the Field Administration Supervisor will provide guidance and mentorship to a team of administrative professionals in ensuring that the daily work goals and administrative tasks supporting field production and operations are met. The Supervisor will work closely with Canadian Natural corporate office contacts to ensure all Company policies and procedures are adhered to and that the responsibilities and accountabilities of the Fort St John office are communicated and understood.
Through the skilled leadership of the Supervisor, the team will set priorities and recommend and build efficiencies for the Fort St John office that support and enhance the needs of Operations. The coaching and development of the Administrative team will be a key priority for the Supervisor, along with providing core administrative support which will drive productivity and help to establish continuity and stability in processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Actively lead, motivate, mentor and develop a team of administrative professionals
- Input a large volume of electronic data, with a very high level of accuracy
- Process invoices using ADP
- Import data using Excel into the invoicing system
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Respond to vendor inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements

Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous leadership, coaching or mentoring experience
- Ideally 8 – 10 years of related administrative expertise with a minimum High School diploma or GED
- Formal office administrative and/or accounting education an asset
- Valid class 5 driver’s license is required
- Familiarity with and understanding of:
- Working with payables/bookkeeping
- Data entry and working with Excel
- Working in a role which requires multi-tasking and organization
