Job description: Baci Ristorante is a beautiful, modern Italian gem located within the C Hotel. Baci Ristorante has an open style kitchen and central wood burning oven which provides an intimate gathering place for guests and patrons. As well, Baci services our two event spaces. Baci Ristorante is part of Carmen’s Group; a growing entertainment and hospitality family in Hamilton.
Our Food & Beverage Manager ensures the guest experience created is a forever lasting memory by providing an elevated dining experience. They also ensures our team is supported, encouraged to succeed and promotes our inclusive and fun culture.
YOU WOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Create a memorable guest experience including menu execution and food quality, overall experience, and ensuring feedback is received
- Supervise and coach all service team members by demonstrating superior customer service skills and living our purpose, vision, and values
- Assist with developing and delivering regular training to service team members
- Work with our kitchen team on menu features and changes by curating and providing guest feedback
- Suggest and implement new cocktail programs and wine pairings to compliment the menu
- Ensure team engagement remains high by maintaining culture standards, providing regular feedback and utilizing a coaching mindset
- Work with the Sales & Marketing and Baci team to drive sales including private parties and group bookings
- Rectify any member or guest issues as needed
- Completing ordering of bar inventory items
- Develop strong relationships with guests and employees by maintaining a regular presence on the floor during key times
- Act as a Duty Manager for C Hotel in absence of other departmental managers
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
- 2-3 years supervisory experience in the hospitality / tourism industry is required
- Previous restaurant experience required
- POS knowledge, Squirrel experience is considered an asset
- Ability to build rapport quickly with guests
- Able to work on a variable schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
