Schedule: Casual – shifts vary

Pay Rate: $16.45/hour (after completion of probation period)

For Single Site Order Locations: $19.98 – $20.97 per hour.

Location: Elim Village, 9080 159th St, Surrey, BC

Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve food to residents and ensure that the overall presentation of the food is appealing
• Setting, clearing, cleaning and sanitizing tables
• Scrape and sort dirty dishware and place in the dishwasher
• Washing dirty dishes
• Setup and delivery of food to residents
• Plate meals including snacks, main course, desserts and salads
• Restock service areas with supplies and utensils
• Transporting food and dishes from main kitchen to different dining areas in the building
• Remove trash and garbage to designated areas
• Maintain confidentiality of all residents and personnel information
• Complete required HACCP logs
• Maintain safe environment at all times and perform duties according to health & safety work practices
• Providing courteous service to residents

Qualifications:

• FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage heavy workload.
• Ability to work both independently and in team setting as required.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is considered an asset.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
