Job description: Adecco is currently hiring a temporary Heavy Food Production Labourer with potential to become permanent to work full-time hours for our client located in Belleville, ON. In this role, you will need to be comfortable with machinery – taking equipment apart and putting it together, need to understand weight/measures and be able to complete paperwork and be able to lift 50lbs on a repetitive basis. * Location: Belleville, ON
- Pay Rate: $17/hour
- Availability Required: Monday to Friday day shifts, 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Job type: Temporary with potential to become permanent

Responsibilities: * Assemble/disassemble, wash and sanitize machine parts
- Retrieve supplies necessary for production; mix spices
- Complete various checklist to ensure product quality
- Weigh and record product information and weights
- Stuff, hang, pot product for cooking
- Tie and form stuffed products
- Lift frozen product onto conveyor
- Verify Lot numbers, SKU and weight information
- Inspect product to ensure product meets standard
- Physically demanding, fast-paced and repetitive
- Handling of heavy loads up to 50lbs
- Standing for long periods
- Cut/Packaging department is refrigerated
- Noisy and some areas may have odours
- Meat processing and packing establishment
Requirements: * Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
- Production related experience is an asset
- A commitment to SAFETY and QUALITY practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet production deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated hand-eye coordination
- Comfortable working in a pork processing facility, handling raw meat
- Comfortable in either a cold or warm environment
- Ability to perform physical and repetitive job duties
- Must be able to lift 50lbs on a repetitive basis.
- Ability to stand for extended hours
- Must be able to communicate and understand English.
- Basic English communication skills (verbal and written)
