CASCADES CONTAINERBOARD PACKAGING

The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

Your challenge!

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Full Cycle recruitment: needs assessments, screening, preparation of interview templates, interviewing, offer letters
  • Payroll: responsible for weekly validations of all hours entered into the system, responsible for managing employee data via Success Factors in collaboration with Payroll/HR Shared Services
  • Employee Benefits: administration and maintenance of group benefit plans and pension
  • Coordination of training schedules and maintenance of training files
  • Assisting in the completion of month end activities and provide various analyses to the HR Manager
  • Fostering and promoting engagement, ethical conduct and upholding Cascades Values and Corporate Culture
  • Maintain health and safety programs and provide support to ensure empowered safety culture
  • Propose innovative solutions and implementation of best practices
  • Coaching and support Production Supervisors regarding employee relations
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with various tasks as needed
  • Assist with accounting administration as needed

Experiences and strengths

  • High School Diploma
  • College diploma in Human Resources
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Success Factors and Ultimate considered an asset
  • Demonstrate professionalism and discretion
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a member of the team, collaborate with others and be accountable
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive and team spirit
