Job description: We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our team in our Red Deer Office.
Axiom Architecture Inc., specializes in quality residential, mixed use commercial architecture, Hotel, Industrial prefabricated building and office buildings.
Given the small size of our office and the diversity of project types, this position demands a lot of dedication.
Candidates must have an enthusiasm for a variety of tasks, take on leadership roles, learning new skills and “jumping in” when deadlines loom. This position requires an organized individual with a minimum three years experience who is equally capable of working independently or providing project team leadership.
Preferred is a candidate with a multi-faceted background demonstrating familiarity with all technical aspects of architectural design.

Salary will be based on experience.

Requirements

Most of the things you’ll work on: • Prepares technical drawings and documents • Provides internal document quality control and coordination with other disciplines • Coordinates and prepares design development presentations • Collaborates with specification writers, consultants and design teams for submittal reviews in accordance to project specifications • Produces construction plans and ensures compliance with codes and bylaws • Researches building products for value and efficiency • Assists in coordinating and scheduling the work of consultants, contractors, site inspectors and production teams • Supports coordination of contract administration Qualifications You’ll need to have: • Graduate from a recognized Architectural Technology Program • 3 to 5 years of experience as a technologist in an architectural firm with a focus on AutoCAD, Revit based projects • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD, Revit and Sketchup • Good understanding of Building Envelope • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Well organized with good interpersonal skills • Local experience considered an asset
