PRESENTATION:
The employer we represent, an internationally recognized law firm, is currently seeking a junior lawyer to fill a position in the management of major litigation related to areas such as construction law and professional liability. The professional selected must have a few years of experience as a litigation lawyer, either in private practice or in-house, and must be attracted to this role and this different way of practicing litigation. Rather than acting as a litigator, you will be more involved in risk analysis, strategy, investigation and coordination of work with various lawyers. That said, you may have the opportunity to litigate some cases yourself if you wish. Finally, as an additional component of this position, you will act in an advisory capacity with respect to insurance coverage issues.
PREREQUISITE :
Have practiced as a litigation attorney for approximately 1 to 5 years;
Good academic record (primarily law school);
Desire to move away from the typical litigator role and seek a more strategic role;
Have good interpersonal skills and stand out as a good communicator;
Strengths include legal analysis, rigor and synthesis;
Excellent bilingualism, including strong written English skills.
