The Position
The Loan Administration Specialist is part of the AFG ( Automotive Financing Group) and is responsible to provide strong knowledge and support to loan administration, funding, maintenance and servicing of CWB Automotive Finance Group’s loan portfolio. This role will contribute and support the AFG team to drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management, and strong data integrity.
What you will do – The specifics
- Provide support and contribute to the progress of continuous improvement of all AFG credit support processes specific to loan administration, maintenance, and funding.
- Support and maintain the processes which lead to consistent and predictable daily credit support outcomes for the group.
- Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and quality benchmarks for credit support are being met
- Ensure contributions to loan administration comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures to ensure the AFG are able to continue to deliver a high level of customer service.
- Accountability as the team member for the execution of work procedures, policies and methods to ensure compliance with Canadian Western Bank’s legal, regulatory business policies and procedures.
- Provide support to all AFG team members while corresponding
- Establish a collaborative and client-centric relationship with the AFG team while balancing the efficiencies and governance of a standardized structure.
- Actively participate in team weekly/monthly meetings which communicate progress of team, department goals and objectives, as well as team issues.

- Payouts and payments

- Bank confirmation

- DAO changes (T24)
- Annual Reviews – administration

- Impaired/Watch accounts – administration
- Renewal of facility
- Leases (POA, taxes, insurance)
- Business VISA cards
- Letters of Credits (auto renews etc.)

- Fees
- Payout Statements
- Monthly Settlements on lease master lines

- Provide support within the AFG to ensure smooth daily operations and maintenance of consistent service workflow.

- Contribute to the progress of targeted benefit realization of process standardization
- Actively works to ensure standardized loan administration processes are followed and data integrity is consistently achieved, monitored and maintained.
- Participates in projects that primarily impact functional area or specific department, adhering to standard project governance practices and operating within approved budget.
- Due diligence as it relates to credit support activities, procedures and documentation for compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Responsible for delivering “best in class” customer experience to our partners.
- Provide support and T24 authorizations to the Loan Administration team of specialists within the Loan Administration team to ensure smooth daily operations and maintenance of consistent service workflow
- Ensures understanding on closing requirements with lending teams, customers and attorneys as needed and ensures that all closings occur within scheduled target dates.
Foundational Knowledge and Experience
Education
- Diploma in Business Administration
Professional Experience
- Minimum 1-5 years credit support experience
Personal Competencies
- Strong knowledge of loan administration, collateral securities and credit processes
- Strong knowledge of the Banking System, Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Forms.
- Understanding of process improvement and continuous process design to achieve optimization an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders – relationship managers, branch support, and credit support.
- Customer focused with strong working knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, regulations, documentation, compliance issues, collateral securities and audit requirements.
- Strong technology aptitude with an ability to support geographically diverse team.
- Ability to identify efficiencies and continuous improvement in processes aligned with corporate culture.
- Ability to solve problems and ability to diffuse challenging situations and find common ground. Incumbent will escalate to manager should issue require escalation.
- Respectful, proactive, and self-motivated team player.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
