The Opportunity:

As part of OpenText’s Total Rewards function and directly reporting in Global Payroll, this role will be responsible for the administration of the global Stock Option and ESPP Programs in a fast-paced environment where participation in these programs is growing. The role works closely with other key stakeholders in Corp Compensation and Shareworks (OT’s 3rd party vendor).

You Are Great At:

  • Ensuring OpenText’s process documentation and on-line plan descriptions are up to date and in line with the Stock Option and ESPP Program policies
  • Work closely with the Program Policy owners on any recommended administrative updates or changes to the policy documents
  • Manage the 3rd party relationship with Shareworks, Computershare etc in building a strong business relationship with their management and staff and ensuring adherence with all contractual obligations, SLA’s.
  • Administer and provide reporting on the Stock Option and ESPP programs including
  • Working with Compensation, receive and load all grant information into the Shareworks tool and communicate this information to employees
  • Work with employees and Shareworks to affect the exercise of Options programs for LTIP, RSU, PSU and ESPP activity
  • Ensure that required reporting in completed in an accurate and timely manner including reports such as SEDI, Insider list, TMX, average share cost etc
  • Work with Payroll on Stock option exercise activity with Payroll to ensure proper taxation data gets to Shareworks
  • Work with Payroll on file feeds related to ESPP employee participation, contributions files, refunds and purchase files
  • Manage CEO and executive level LTIP and Stock Option activity with a high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Manage responses to Executive and employee inquiries
  • Manage the people aspect of the Stock Option / ESPP team related to setting goals, CDP programs

What It Takes:

  • 5-7 years of progressive stock administration experience in a global public company
  • Experience working with Morgan Stanley Shareworks is a strong preference
  • Education / Training / Membership in National Association of Stock Plan Professionals
  • Certified Equity Professional designation a strong plus
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional, geography teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (v-lookups)
