What you will do:

  • Create the foundation for our team to build products that align with our customers preferences for how they want to receive and use the insights we provide
  • Develop the full stack of UX deliverables, from personas and journey maps, to information architecture and interaction design, wireframes and visual designs.
  • Design and prototype multiple ideas quickly, and connect regularly with customers, to validate product directions
  • Generate both low and high fidelity prototypes to make the design case internally and test externally with customers.
  • Conduct user research to test design assumptions and discover usability issues.
  • Take responsibility for creating the user interface of key external and internal customer experiences, concentrating on end-to-end scenarios and key user tasks.
  • Develop alternative approaches to meeting product requirements that balance customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities.
  • Participate in design critique and present work regularly in product leadership feedback meetings
  • Partner closely with engineers as they build and ship ideas

Requirements

We want you to succeed, so you will need:

  • Product/interaction design, symbolic systems or engineering design degree, diploma or other relevant coursework.
  • 3+ years experience planning, prototyping, and designing for web and mobile (Experience in SaaS, analytical tools, IoT preferred)
  • Experienced with Enterprise UI/SaaS conventions and standards, with a healthy mix of new approaches and forward thinking.
  • Capable of leading internal design collaborations and facilitating research with customers.
  • Possess an inquisitive mindset, keen to perform user research and ask questions that explore customer behaviour and user intent
  • Possess a strong understanding of the product development process, from problem definition to detailed UX and visual design.
  • A driven self starter, experienced in taking ownership of the direction of ambiguous projects. Excited about collaborating and building relationships with other teams in the company, including Engineering, Customer Service, Research, and Product Management
  • Creative problem-solver who can iterate with low-fidelity sketches of workflows and translate those into beautiful high-fidelity designs using Figma and other tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze an application and transform the design to make it simple and easy to use.
  • Familiarity with various design methods and processes, including Agile and Iterative Development.
  • Experience with major design tools including Adobe suite, Sketch, and Figma.
  • Approach problems with curiosity, and excitement to learn and grow your skills
  • A quick study using methods to gather and synthesize information quickly and efficiently.
  • Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
