As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving improvements in the quality, and serviceability of Semios products through their full lifecycle. Your responsibility will involve creating and using monitoring systems to review Semios quality KPIs such as field performance monitoring and returns, which involves working with design and service teams to reduce returns and improve overall quality. In this role you will be the central owner of quality of products both upstream in terms of improving field lifespan and service processes, and downstream in terms of optimized refurbishment and RMA processes in place.

This role requires cross functional work and ability to work with and influence various teams including manufacturing quality, research, design and service teams where each plays a key role in overall quality of the product.

What you will do:

  • Drive continuous improvement of existing processes and actions to reduce returns by understanding and improving key quality drivers, such as improve design and/or optimize diagnosis processes
  • Actively review return inventory and refurbishment flow and provide an optimized path to ensure returned products are continuously processed
  • Own and improve field performance monitoring processes ensuring full compliance
  • Drive/lead Root Cause and Correct Action (RCCA), Failure Analysis (FA) processes
  • Drive strategies and create processes for 3rd party product RMA processing
  • Actively monitor field quality and provide resolution actions based on potential root causes when new trends/spikes are observed
  • Closely work with quality test team in the full lifecycle of product from manufacturing to field use and refurbishment to drive quality objectives
  • Drive development of quality monitoring systems measuring relevant KPIs such as return rates and guiding the organization towards quality excellence
  • Preparing and/or reviewing technical presentations and reports for communication of production status or metrics

Requirements

We want you to succeed, so you will need:

  • High level experience with hardware and software in order to drive technical conversations in quality root cause analysis and process improvements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or similar, with strong professional experience
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently and building strong cross functional relationships with diverse teams
  • Experience compiling and analyzing data to identify main opportunities for improvement
  • Strong project management, problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Ability to develop a thorough and detailed documented paper trail of processes to guide the organization in quality improvements
  • Ability to travel internationally, up to 10%

Nice to have:

  • Interest and/or experience related to agriculture related products
  • Experience with database platforms such as Periscope, Tableau or equivalent to interpret test data
