RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Spa Guest Experience Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing the duties of Spa Experience Coordinator and/or Spa/Fitness Attendant as assigned
  • Ensure Guest satisfaction by ensuring that safety and service is always the first priority in the spa, fitness, and pool facilities.
  • Uphold the highest standard of customer service by demonstrating and applying 5 Star service standards at all times.
  • Co-ordinate guest spa experiences efficiently and accurately via phone, email, text, in person or with other departments utilizing spa reservation software.
  • Consistently deliver gracious, thoughtful and personalized service in every guest interaction.
  • Ability to identify, empathize and appease any guest concerns both in person and in writing.
  • Responsible for increasing the departmental revenues through treatment and retail upsells.
  • Engage in monthly boutique incentive program through achieving individual and team goals.
  • Responsible for increasing the departmental revenues by maximizing treatment room usage.
  • Operate point of sale system for all services rendered ensuring all guest folios are accurate.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge about all aspects of spa facility, treatments, fitness center, pool and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Spa Team as required
  • Adhere to hotel emergency procedures and safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times by actively circulating and reporting/entering work orders promptly.
  • Provide tours of the spa and fitness facilities to guests.
  • Co-ordinate guest food and beverage orders.
  • Responsible for replenishing all service area items and removing/stocking linen consistently throughout the day.
  • Adhere to hotel emergency procedures and safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Actively participate in the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations.
  • Comply with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts policies, procedures and code of ethics.
  • Perform any and all other tasks which are assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a luxury environment is an asset
  • A passion for spa and wellness
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in spa or hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in retail sales an asset
  • Diploma or Degree in hospitality or related field an asset
  • Career-minded individual with strong personal initiative and a desire to achieve the department’s vision and goals
  • Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail with understanding of luxury elements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Energetic individual who is able to prioritize to complete many diverse tasks concurrently
  • A positive individual with the ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literacy in Office, Word, Excel
  • Previous experience in booking software an asset

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
