Job description: Thank you for your interest in the Spa / Sales Associate position with Hand & Stone – Pickering located at 925 Liverpool Road Pickering, ON L1W 1S7. We are happy to announce that since our re-opening last year we have grown steadily busier and require more Spa / Sales Associate to join our team.

Who and what we are looking for?

We are looking for dynamic individuals with great interpersonal skills, a nice smiling face and who will always care about others, to join our Customer Service team. As the face of Hand & Stone, you are expected to deliver a high level of customer service, as you are communicating with customers on a daily basis with professionalism and patience.

We specialize in affordable luxury providing something for everyone. Whether it’s massage, facial or hair removal services, you’ll find it here. And because we offer various service packages, massage and skin care products and most importantly our life style membership program, you will be expected to have a strong sales capability while being able to meet membership and skin care product sale goals.

With the wonderful team we have already we would be seeking great team players, who are willing to work with the team to ensure that all daily duties, (including customer service, operations and administration), are taken care of effectively from the front desk to the back end ensuring that every customer’s experience is seamless.

How do you fit in?

As our new spa / sales associate, you will be working with the team to participate in various daily duties. At our reception desk, you’ll be taking phone calls, emails, and setting up appointments. Using your strong computer skills, you’ll create accurate records for our service providers, to let them know what services are being requested on the daily schedule.

Throughout the day, you’ll help maintain and prepare our facilities, including laundry, washrooms, and restocking supplies and linens for treatment rooms.

In terms of sales, you’ll be ringing up customers on their way out, and letting them know about our life style program, packages and extras we offer. After experiencing our amazing services most people end up wanting more. So, with your skill in sales and great customer service you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make good commissions.

You’ll be perfect for this role if you’re:

Meticulous– you’re great with details, whether you’re booking appointment(s) or helping the team with the outlined daily spa operations. Nothing gets past you.

Independent– no one needs to be looking over your shoulder because you’ve always got an eye on the next task. You’re organized, and you use that skill in everything you do.

Social– you love chatting with customers, getting to know them, and figuring out how our business can best suit their needs.

A natural salesperson– you love sales, and would enjoy encouraging people to pamper themselves.

There are currently part time positions available, with variable shifts Saturday to Tuesday from 9am to 6pm and Wednesday to Friday 8:30am to 9pm. You will be expected to work on weekdays, weekends, days and evenings. We offer employee discounts on services and products.

Qualifications:

Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in wellness/hospitality/spa industry or similar

Experience booking client appointment(s), and familiarity working with scheduling software

Proficiency in Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Fast typing skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task

Ability to organize and set work priorities

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Ability to exercise a high level of tact, diplomacy, professionalism and confidentiality

High school or equivalent

Experience in sales would be an asset
