Canadian Commercial Banking and Wealth Management provides high-touch, relationship-oriented commercial and private banking, as well as wealth management services to meet the needs of middle-market companies, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and families, along with institutional clients across Canada.
At CIBC Private Wealth, our focus is on servicing the investment, banking and wealth advisory needs of high-net-worth clients, endowments, foundations and other non-profit organizations. Private Wealth includes Wood Gundy, CIBC Private Investment Council, Private Banking, CIBC Trust, Wealth Planning Group and Wealth Solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Executive Director, Practice Management, you will contribute to the development of resources aligned with the strategic direction of practice management for CIBC Private Wealth including Wood Gundy, Private Banking, CIBC Private Investment Council and the Wealth Planning Group.
You will be working with various stakeholders to understand the required support and tools needed to help our internal clients with the overall goal of building content to streamline practices and created processes and efficiencies to best service our CIBC clients.
Working along aside Strategic Internal partners, you will work closely to understand the tools and resources required to support engagements in the field.
How You’ll Succeed
- Practice Management- You will support the development of effective practice management solutions to help build high performing teams, streamline business processes and support others in assisting Advisors in developing deeper, long-term relationships with their clients. Through internal and external research, you will develop concepts and provide insight and expertise in creating tools designed to support Advisors (Wood Gundy, Private Banking, Investment Council and Wealth Planning) in creating a compelling vision for their business. Create and maintain content that can include sales copy, advisor resources, presentations, social media and blog posts. Align practice management to our Strategic Priorities such as financial planning and PriceMetrix. Promote quarterly or monthly training on practice management programs. Execute and maintain internal processes for document management through SharePoint.
- Collaboration- You will collaborate with the Executive Director, Practice Management, and the PMCs to develop programs and tools supporting the overall goals of the team. You will present concepts/ideas to the Executive Director and PMCs for ongoing feedback and development. Work with partners to maintain and build website content on a timely basis, ensuring in-house formatting and brand standards are maintained. Work closely with the Senior Consultant, Strategy and Analysis to develop tactical best practice, tools and strategy to maximize PMC impact in the field. Work closely with Marketing to further align content focused on sales resources and client facing material. Engage with other Lines of Business to better align, develop and communicate our integrated wealth strategy and support for all partners. Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify the needs of key stakeholders to develop effective, easy to understand content that engages the users to help support their goals. You’ll work in partnership with Training & Development, as well as external vendors to develop and deliver programs refining the capabilities of Advisors, and other Private Wealth groups. Provide insight on the development of Practice Management modules (via in- person, webinars, Blog posts, skype meetings or podcasts).

- You have knowledge in: You have highly developed knowledge of the wealth management business, with a proven ability of practice management solutions at a tactical level. Strong knowledge of holistic wealth offering requirements for high-net-worth clients. Strategic and analytical thinking skills to identify business opportunities and implement successful strategies and resources. Ability to work independently, with the ongoing support of the Practice Management team and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
