Department Overview
The Change Management team leads the strategy for the People side of change. We do this by assessing the impact of change on stakeholders and planning for what it will take to successfully implement and sustain changes after an initiative is launched. We apply a structured approach to assess, strategize and plan for change to minimizes its disruptive nature. Additionally, we look to equip employees and leaders to embrace and adopt the changes in order to reach more stable outcomes and support realization of business benefits.

Certifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- Graduate degree in related field considered an asset
- Relevant Change Management accreditations considered an asset
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in the change management discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in a variety of projects/markets on multidisciplinary teams
- Strong project delivery skills with experience in organizing, prioritizing, planning, and executing workstreams for high-risk, high-visibility, large-scale projects
- Previous experience leading change management on an Agile program is considered an asset
- Business Transformation Change Management experience an asset

- Advanced knowledge of change management principles, industry best practices, lines of businesses supported, project management, organization practices, business culture(s) and business transformation
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends
- Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations

About this Role
Are you recognized as a top-level change specialist, bringing significant breadth and depth of expertise to discussions and decision-influencing? Can you lead end-to-end change management efforts on highly complex initiatives, programs and projects that can significantly impact the enterprise or major business segment teams and their partners? If so, this could be the career opportunity for you. We’re seeking a leader to provide advisory services to executives and business leaders while governing strategic and complex enterprise change management across TD.
As a Senior Change Management Specialist, you will:
- Act as the lead for higher risk, strategic and regulatory change projects or programs with significant enterprise impact
- Lead a diverse range of working colleagues and partners to assess potential and actual complex change processes
- Communicate difficult concepts, converting information into compelling business context and advice
- Work directly with business owner/sponsor to identify change adoption metrics
- Engage appropriate partners and collaborate across TD to drive successful change and desired results
- Facilitate a smooth transition into steady state (e.g. ongoing processes exist, viable workarounds identified for any defects, handover of ownership)
- Solves unusual and ambiguous problems that can affect business and change outcomes/benefits
- Integrate knowledge of change management methodology with the overarching business strategy and program objectives to lead change strategy design, implementation / deployment of change management best practices, methodology formulation or template / tool standards
- Anticipate emerging trends and/or risks as a basis for recommending large-scale change initiatives
- Work closely with business executives to create change strategies and plans that drive successful adoption of change and expected benefits realization.
- Lead and provide thought leadership to guide the execution of strategy and deliverables in order to drive forward the change management roadmap within or across business segments or at the enterprise level
- Serve as a source of expert advice to senior leaders in field of change management
- Advise on execution strategy and lead the development and deployment of change programs
- Solve unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact
- Engage stakeholders to take action; serves as a source of expert advice, influence change; frame information in a broader organizational context
- Provide leadership guidance, make recommendations and collaborates with business to ensure solutions meets the business needs on a complex project or program
- Identify and lead problem resolution for complex issues at all levels
- Be the change – a brand ambassador for change, your business and the bank, internally and externally
