Position Summary

We are looking for a Transportation Administration for Nestlé Purina PetCare Canada based at our Innisfail Distribution Centres, reporting into the Distribution Center Manager. The Planner will be responsible for all inbound & outbound order processing associated with specific customers while maintaining cost and service objectives. Manage vendor requests and PO processing. The Transportation Administration Planner will work directly with Foreign Planning Specialist with inventory planning.

A day in the life of…

As a Transportation Administration Planner, you will:

Transportation & Customer Service:

  • Prepares information for deliveries and tender loads for customer orders using SAP and SAPTM.
  • Schedules and provides support to carriers while managing appointments using Dock & Yard (scheduling tool). Identifies discrepancies when running reports as needed – Order Tracking Report, DMC, Case Pick Visibility, Non-Confirmed, Negative Available To Promise, ME2N (report on inbounds).
  • Rotates working from home on weekends/holidays to cover customer/warehouse needs. Responsible for learning other administrative functions within the Logistics department.
  • Guarantees accurate input of rates in Transportation Management System. Maintains lanes in SAP TM.
  • Collaborates closely with freight carriers regarding invoice issues, reconciling statements and providing updates as needed for freight bills on shipments to/from Innisfail Distribution Center.

Operations Planning:

  • Prepare daily inventory and customer shortage reports (NCOL Report Daily with Reason Codes, CPIC Report Daily) for inventory and order management
  • Process replenishment orders from factories and copackers. Update replenishment orders based on product availability.
  • Assist with Monitoring and Performing Inventory Analysis

Administration:

  • Manage All Vendor request and Changes through the Vendor Management System. Create Admin CapEX and Call Off PO’s. Card Holder for Administrative Supplies (Innisfail DC). Maintain Maintenance Schedule and ensuring compliance. Maintain internal Audit Schedules & preparation.

What will make you successful

  • Completion of College diploma in Business Administration or other related discipline
  • 3 years’ experience in a customer service role in warehouse environment
  • Understanding of SAP
  • The successful candidate is a creative thinker with strong analytical and organization skills. They will be able to work independently and cope with conflicting demands in short time periods.
  • Able to anticipate challenges and opportunities with proactive behaviour.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail with strong initiative, customer service focused attributes.
  • Excellent prioritization and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to excel at working within a team environment.
  • Must be able to respond to changing demands with short notice and be proactive in managing the needs of an operation.
  • Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of warehouse systems and SAP highly desired, also intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power point required.
