As Vice-President, Finance, you will communicate a vision and implement a transformation plan aimed at capitalizing on automation, data and employee expertise in order to keep up with ever-changing financial information and business needs and to continually respond. This vision will be developed in alignment with the strategic orientations of the organization and of the team reporting to the Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary (CFO).
As Vice-President, Finance, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the coordination, execution and optimization of the following operations for the entire iA Group: accounting, consolidation and financial information, budgets, overhead cost control, taxation and other operations resulting from information requirements for public or regulated companies. New accounting and actuarial standards will constantly take effect and in this context, you will ensure the multidisciplinary teams comply in an effective manner.
Your mandate
- Mobilize team members and help them to develop based on opportunities created by the transformation
- Be responsible for the consolidated financial statements and the audit file for the Group
- Be a member of the iA audit committee and the CFO team management committee and contribute to and ensure the realization of the latter’s strategic planning
- Be an agent of change by supporting the technological shift and make sure our operational model evolves in this regard
- Oversee tax compliance and ensure it is optimized
- Provide required expertise to Group entities in terms of accounting and actuarial standards and provide support to the operational sectors
- Coordinate the overhead cost and overhead cost control budget process and the allocation of these costs
- Oversee banking operations
- Ensure the supervision and overall control of the quality of segregated and mutual fund unit values and financial statements
- Develop and release accounting policies and procedures for the Group
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, accounting or another related field (required)
- Master of Business Administration (asset)
- FCIA or CPA certification
Experience
- Have a passion for opportunities created by the digital era

- Have a demonstrated ability to use resources as a critical lever in achieving business objectives
- Have excellent verbal and writing skills in English and French
- Have diversified expertise in accounting, taxation or actuarial services within public companies
- Have relevant experience in a strategic and transversal role (at least five years)
- Have experience in the insurance or financial services industry (major asset)
