The Business Analyst is responsible for investigating opportunities for system improvements and business process changes and for testing system enhancements within the Residential Administration Division. The Business Analyst is responsible to ensure all documentation regarding the system procedures and processes are accurate, timely and filed appropriately.

The Requirements Needed:

  • Assists in tracking of Change Requests from conception to implementation, including research, development, and acting as a liaison between the IT department, the Residential Administration department and all other departments affected by the change(s)
  • Acts to support the Manager in the execution of strategies and goals developed during stakeholder consultation
  • Assists in document change management for Residential Administration
  • Assists in process mapping for Residential Administration departments and liaises with Training department to manage communication and documentation of process changes
  • Assists in building mockups, examples, and prototypes of proposed changes
  • Assists with idea generation for possible business and/or system solutions
  • Supports all servicing systems used in the Residential Division, including but not limited to Optimus, Merlin, My Mortgage and the Servicing Workflow Hub
  • Develops and submits the system requests as per the business needs for IT to evaluate, program and implement as efficiently and effectively as possible. Provides support to QA group during testing to ensure User Ability Testing is executed when necessary
  • Uses tools such as MS SQL and Optimus queries to extract data analytics to support business operations in servicing as well as internal research for the BA team.
  • Acts as a consultant for other related projects that affect Residential Administration.
  • Other duties assigned by management

  • Ability to self-motivate, prioritize and to meet all deadlines

Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with First National systems an asset
