Job Summary:
As Director of Agronomy Sales, you will be responsible for the growth and development of Ralco’s various brands and products through Product Specialists and Sales Account Managers in their respective territories.
As team leader, you will manage the sales and service team to facilitate the distribution of our products and services. In this role, you will look for opportunities to maximize the sales and profit potential direct agronomy business while leveraging your industry connections and relationships to grow the sales and service teams as needed where we have gaps in the distribution and availability of our products and services. In addition, you may serve as the Account Manager for your own assigned accounts and perform all Account Manager duties as required for your assigned accounts. You will be responsible for the Income Statement relative to sales and profitability of your assigned accounts. This job description is not meant to be all inclusive and duties may vary based on departmental and company needs.
Key Work duties and Required Skills: * Guide and Manage the Agronomy Sales Team and Product Specialists in representing and selling all Ralco brands and proving an outstanding customer experience to all current and potential customers in their territories
- Identify and setup new customers including pricing level
- Increase product penetration and sales volume with existing accounts
- Analyze and recommend best go-to-market strategies for agronomy products
- Assist in providing training of our sales and service teams on the features and benefits of our products & services
- Provide effective communication and guidance to our direct sales channels on the use of our products as a solution to producers’ needs
- Recommend, track, and encourage incentives that will help focus and drive sales efforts on Ralco products and services
- Be a listening post for our sales team and provide feedback back to the broader Ralco organization on new industry developments, use of our products, learnings that will help the sales and positioning of our products in the marketplace
- Ensure introduction of new products, marketing materials, and technical reports to our direct sales team to help educate and guide their sales efforts
- Provide sales support to account managers by conducting ride-alongs and attending key customer sales calls
- Analyze market penetration and potential of Ralco products in the Agronomy industry
- Appropriately leverage Ralco technical support staff as needed to assist in the sales process
- Conduct annual performance reviews with account managers and product specialists, working with each to develop their individual development plans and assisting them in setting and reaching goals
- Work with technical, product management, regulatory, operations, finance and customer service to develop opportunities and meet the customers’ needs
- In collaboration with your supervisor you will develop a unique professional development plan to ensure that you are pursuing and fulling your professional and personal goals in a diligent and thoughtful manner.
Job Requirements:
Education: Undergraduate degree in Ag-Business related field or matching experience.
Experience: 5+ years of responsibility in a role of sales management.
General: Satisfactorily complete introductory period per company policy.
Physical: The following activities are required as needed to perform the job function; lifting, driving, bending, climbing, carrying and twisting. Confined space entry is not a required job function.
Travel: The preferred location for this position is Marshall, Minnesota, however this position does require travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America.
