Job description: We are looking for someone who wants to grow within the organization and embrace challenges. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance of Valsoft and to the CEO of a division, the individual will also be participating in building the foundations for Valsoft’s IPO. This role is for someone who wants to innovate, get out of their comfort zone and be versatile, having visibility on Finance, M&A, Due diligence, Operations, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic management of the accounting and finance functions

• Overseeing financial reporting and financial planning and analysis

• Hiring and retaining skilled accounting and finance staff

• Act as a business partner for the division CEO and VP M&A

• Review and present monthly financial results and ROI KPIs to CEO and other stakeholders

• Overseeing operational initiatives to improve results

• Participating in the decision making of potential acquisition target

• Controllership functions

• Planning, directing and coordination all accounting operational functions

• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes

• Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.

• Leading a team of 12+ analysts/managers including offshored people in Europe, US and Egypt

• Lead system and people integrations of newly acquired companies in UK, Europe, US and Canada

• Financial advisor for many M&A deals

• Optimize financial processes to generate cost savings and achieve higher quality

• Implement financial controls to protect assets and ensure accurate reporting.

Requirements

• CPA

• 7-10 years of experience in an accounting function with a minimum of 2 years in management

• Proven management experience in a lead finance role

• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Good knowledge of systems (Sage Intacct)

• Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment

• Ability to work in a high growth environment

• Ability to manage an international team remotely

• Software industry an asset

• 5-15% travel requirements
