We’re looking for a Manager, Product Group to join our team in Burnaby, BC.
The Opportunity:
As a member of Team Member Experience Product Leadership team, the Manager, Product Group will be responsible for key product verticals within the Team Member experience across all internally facing systems and processes. This role is accountable to a disparate group of stakeholders throughout every department of the business with the chief focus on increasing team member productivity and satisfaction. This position works in collaboration with architects, engineering management and senior product and development contributors. In addition, the Manager, Product Group will take a leading role in the product practice, mentoring other product managers and enabling cross product stream planning and coordination. This role hires and performance manages, mentors and trains direct reports, which will include a mix of full-time employees and independent contractors.
In this role you’ll:
- Be accountable for business outcomes related to product, product visibility to stakeholders.
- Manage product owner deliverables to numerous digital product group strike teams.
- Be responsible for people Management and hiring
- Oversee and govern the product roadmap.
- Manage quality of design documentation/ artifacts.
- Be responsible for business outcomes related to product trade-off decisions.
- Handle work breakdown and task assignment.
- Assess Design Tradeoffs – quality vs. time.
- Compromise on competing design priorities (Team Member experience vs. Operational Efficiency).
- Influence support of designs, where everyone has a unique opinion on the quality of their own.
- Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.
Here’s what you bring:
- A degree in Computer Science or related experience
- Minimum 7+ years in related experience
This job will require you to:
- Sit and work in front of a computer.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders.
- Work in an office environment
- Travel 2 – 4 times a year to field sites and offices to conduct employee experience research and stakeholder communication.
