Job description: Growing up in Vancouver, Onyx Management Ltd. is a local real estate development company focused on the capital raising for real estate projects and property management consulting. We work closely with both investors and landowners to develop townhome projects. Now we are looking for a determined professional to fulfill the position of Investment Analyst to join us to support the company and our clients by providing investment recommendations.

Job title: Investment Analyst
Job type: full-time and permanent
Location: #405 – 4388 Beresford Street, Burnaby, B.C.
Wage: $37.00 – $40.00 per hour, 40 hours a week

Duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct investment research and analysis, identify potential investment projects, and prepare investment summaries
- Analyze and interpret market information, real estate data, corporate financial statements, cash flow, projections, budgets, and other ad-hoc analysis
- Analyze portfolio construction, make investment recommendations, and create associated presentations
- Participate in the capital sourcing, financing, site acquisition, evaluating, negotiating and contracting real estate investment transactions and other matters related to company’s investment management
- Create and manage complex financial models to support forecasts and facilitate decision making
- Evaluate investment portfolio performance, and contribute to portfolio risk management efforts
- Structure real estate equity and debt investments in all asset classes, and underwriting, acquiring, managing and disposing of properties
- Manage investor relations
- Monitor and report on all investment projects
- Prepare investment reports and other related reports
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or four-year college degree with a focus on real estate, finance, business administration, economics or related business field
- At least five years of experience in finance, investment or real estate
- CFA Level 2 an asset
- Must have deep and complex analytical experiences, demonstrates excellent critical thinking, and takes a “hands on” approach to the role, able to think through situations strategically and take charge of challenges
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to present recommendations to executive level personnel
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, and pay attention to details
