Type of position: Regular

Description

The incumbent will work closely with project managers and BBA’s engineering team. The role is mainly to coordinate the various tasks related to managing an entire project cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as advisor to project leaders and managers for everything related to the project management process.
  • Serve as mentor for new employees and various stakeholders who have limited knowledge of project management tools and processes.
  • Get involved in the various steps of a project cycle: updating business opportunities, preparing proposals and managing projects.
  • Proactively ensure the project management process runs smoothly.
  • When a projects kicks off, advise the project team on best practices and methods associated with sound project management.
  • Advise the engineering team to optimize their project structure.
  • Propose, develop and improve monitoring tools (schedule, workforce plan, cash flow) based on project needs.
  • Gather information necessary to update projects and integrate this information into the tools.
  • Analyze performance indicators, anticipate challenges and trends and then propose actions to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and revise project change notices.
  • Finalize the billing process by controlling business agreements for assigned project portfolio.
  • Participate in general project administration tasks.

Requirements

  • DCS in Administration, ACS in Project Management Technology or a combination of relevant education and work experience. Any combination of training and experience will be considered.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to communicate in both English and French, both spoken and written
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office IT tools, especially Excel and Project
