About the Opportunity

The Short Order Cook is responsible for the ingredient control of recipes which includes the measuring and portioning of recipe ingredients and the production of food items for the cafeteria and room service menu. They service customers and patients and prepare made to order menu items. They follow cost control procedures, food handling procedures and provides overall customer service excellence according to departmental standards.

Frequent physical demands including extensive standing and walking, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing, and transferring food supplies throughout the shift.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade XII
  • 1 year relevant experience
  • Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
  • Communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent part-time (50%) position; 37.5 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives

$20.25 – $22.50 Hourly
