Job title: Specialist, Enterprise Information Management

Job description: The Specialist, Enterprise Information Management will be responsible for leading the delivery of the EIM programs, and the development and implementation of policies, standards, and procedures for the corporation. This position provides information management expertise to all business areas, supporting the development of, and providing requirements related to, current and planned information systems and applications.

Key Accountabilities

Lead the delivery of enterprise information management practices for ongoing management of EIM strategy and planning, compliance requirements, secure storage, and shredding, authorized delete permissions, integration, and expert guidance of records within divestitures or mergers.

Provide guidance to ensure the corporation’s exposure is minimized relative to risk management for retention requirements and disposal approvals in accordance with provincial and federal legislation and regulations.

Support the development and enhancement of information management related corporate recordkeeping policies, standards practices, processes, procedures and

guidelines to protect and preserve records and information assets in accordance with provincial and federal legislation and regulations.

Support business areas’ Information Management Representatives throughout the corporation with record storage and retrieval (off-site), ensuring records are properly inventoried, stored, classified, archived, retrieved, preserved and handled appropriately.

Collaborate with the provincial government, the oil and gas industry, and utility industry professionals and associations for sharing information and best practices.

Research legal and regulatory requirements for information management and ensure communication with business area leaders impacted by changes.

Consult with key stakeholders to ensure timely execution of the corporate EIM functions

Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Degree in Business Administration or Commerce.

Professional Certification designation is preferred such as Certified Records Manager (CRM), Electronic Content Management Specialist/Professional (ECMS/P), Electronic Records Management Specialist/Professional (ERMS/P), or Information Governance Professional (IGP).

Five (5) years of applicable business experience in records and information management for record classification and retention schedules, File Law software for retention citations, provincial and federal legislation and regulatory requirements including Archives Acts and Onshore Pipeline Regulations, disposal requirements, mature process mapping, recordkeeping principles, maturity models and information governance reference models.

Applicable experience with administration of budgets, contract management, procurement, and a proficiency with information management technology knowledge of ECM or EDRMS would be considered an asset.

Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships.

Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
