Role Summary

We are looking for a Test Technician who works with limited supervision on assigned administration & testing tasks while reporting any unusual test conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create Test Assessment Data Sheets based on customer Specifications
  • Write Test Reports
  • Review test documentation to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain & Support KPI reporting (target vs actual)
  • Maintain equipment manuals and update as required
  • Ensure all documentation meets ISO 17025 standards
  • Create and manage testing procedures & Best Practices guidelines
  • Support ‘internal’ customer day to day needs (Technicians, Technologists, Program Supervisors, Lab Management) as needed
  • Inventory tracking of control room
  • Identify and report unusual test conditions, broken or out of calibration equipment and procedure violations
  • Enter all test data into TAD’s accurately and promptly. Create TIR’s if required to be approved
  • Document all test observations, data, incidents, set-ups, verifications accurately and in accordance with all ISO 17025 standards
  • Maintain lab equipment in a safe, clean, orderly and operational manner
  • Work in compliance with all Quality standards as outlined in the CTL Quality Manual and propose continuous improvement ideas

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum completion of a college diploma in engineering technology (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with macros an asset
  • Proficient use of personal computer
  • Good mechanical ability
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of PLC based control systems, pneumatics and basic measurement instrumentation
  • Familiar with and capable of using hand tools
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
