We are currently looking for a Warranty Manager, Claim Adminstration and Liaison

at our Volkswagen Group Canada Corporate Offices in Ajax, ON

Job Summary:

The Warranty Manager, Claim Administration and Liaison is responsible for oversight and activities of the Claims Specialists, Warranty Campaign Specialist, Dealer Consulting and Paint & Corrosion Specialists. Provides technical expertise within the warranty department to ensure compliance with established warranty policy and procedures.

Is also a liaison between Group Warranty and the Volkswagen and Audi Brands, Group Technical Service and Product Support.

Job Responsibilities:

The Warranty Manager, Claim Administration and Liaison Manger is responsible for leading the following core business activities.

  • Defines Warranty Budgets
  • Ensures compliance with Warranty & Campaigns claims processing
  • Ensures that Dealership warranty audits are performed within provincial and local regulations
  • Preforms market self-audits as required
  • Ensures Dealer Audit Summary of Claims value adjustment is aligned with factory handbook
  • Warranty Management including Ease of Doing Business Warranty, Base Warranty, CPO Warranty
  • Ensures that team and individual operational KPI’s are met/exceeded
  • Provides monthly reports on Warranty PKI’s
  • Plans and manages new vehicle launch activities related to warranty.
  • Aligns with Cost Management for cost monitoring
  • Coordinates with Dealer Consultants and Warranty Field Managers for dealer coaching as needed.
  • Liaison between Product Support and Technical Assistance
  • Provides coaching and training for claims specialists and warranty field managers
  • Assures adequate and updated Training for the Network is offered
  • Participate in conferences and meeting with HQ
  • Ensures alignment between Warranty and Technical Service on Warranty policy

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma
  • 5-8 years of previous management experience in technical knowledge on automobiles and repair process as well as working knowledge of retail after sales processes and systems
  • Must be familiar with the warranty processes and financial implications
  • Must be customer centric focused and engaged people leader
  • Must have strong dealership and corporate understanding
  • Strong analytical, strategic and problem solving ability
  • Must be a self-starter and capable of accurately prioritizing business needs
  • Proficient in MS suite of products; Excel, Powerpoint, Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and ability to set priorities
  • Occassional travel up to 10%
  • Some overtime required as needed
